In 1916, Fred B. Plath saw the unlimited potential of the fertile region of Yakima County, and together started the Washington Fruit Company. More than 100 years later, the company continues to grow, pack and ship the highest quality apples, pears and cherries.
At Washington Fruit, we are committed to supplying safe, responsibly farmed and processed fruit that meets or exceeds industry standards. We have implemented processes to ensure safe, quality produce and accurate shipments. A fully integrated inventory control system enables Washington Fruit & Produce Co. to trace product forward from the grower level through bin storage, packing, packed fruit storage, and to each customer who received that product. This system also enables us to trace each box received by the customer, back through shipping, packing and storage, to the grower that produced it.
Washington Fruit formed a long-lasting partnership with Underwood Fruit in 1941. Together, we are able to provide fresh apples, pears and cherries year-round to our customers.
Washington Fruit is dedicated to making a difference in our world. We strive to do good in business and beyond by helping students and families in our community adopt environmentally sustainable practices.
