Starkrimson’s have a remarkable deep red exterior and a high juice content that sets them apart from other varieties. They were discovered in the early 1950’s in Missouri as a branch of red pears on a tree that typically produced green pears.
Named for their outstanding color, Starkrimson pears have red to deep maroon skin with sweet and juicy flesh. Perfect for decorating and gourmet cooking, they are a terrific choice for both salads and buffets.
Washington Fruit markets apples, pears and cherries from the growing regions of Central Washington and Northern Oregon. Orchard locations are throughout the Columbia Basin and the various plateaus and river systems from the Cascade Mountain Range.
